The Riddle of the Labyrinth 48 - Guardian angelThe day was humid and still with a grey, overcast skydome spanning over them and not a single waft moved. Over the waters a sole blue bird hovered, a beady obsidian eye trained to the minuscule speck of a leaping silvery fish. Once again Sarah was standing by the river Ergenad, this time in the company of Jareth. Wanting to see the place for himself he had asked her to show where the Alien was lurking. Bodyguards were surrounding them, a silent quartet of hulking beings in dark-red skin carrying hi-tech, futuristic-looking firearms. Although their appearance intimidated her, Sarah feared that they would not last long against the thing in the river, should it choose to attack. The Riddle of the Labyrinth 48 - Guardian angel by cosmicwind
If she'd been home in England, she'd guess it was about to rain, but here she was unable to read the weather. Up the beach her eyes wandered, along the cove and out again to the jagged point of the high peninsular where she had been standing the day before. The white-tipped waves carried her gaze away from shore,
The Riddle of the Labyrinth 47 - Smoke and shadowsSore at heart and more than a little bit out of her depth, Sarah kept on at Jareth's back, while he led her down a long hallway. Since the conversation with his uncle he'd hardly said a word, leaving his half-finished tea on the breakfast table, obviously with a lost appetite. Now, just moments earlier had a servant rapped at Sarah's door, asking her to meet the King in his office. There, he had simply asked her to follow him. He seemed wistful, tension in every move he made and she in turn felt like there were a billion of questions threatening to burst from her head. Like what Zack had alleged earlier when mentioning Jareth's father. The Riddle of the Labyrinth 47 - Smoke and shadows by cosmicwind
At the end of the hallway, Jareth stopped in front of a thick oak door and Sarah nearly slammed into him. He turned at the last minute to grab her upper arms, keeping her from tripping over her own feet.
"Thank you," she murmured, his eyes flicking to hers before quickly darting away.
"You're welcome." Releasing her he pushed open the door. "This is my p

The vision meeting them on the other side of the Orb's permeable wall could well be Labyrinth hundreds of millennia in the future. A city of tumbled ruins, residues of almost indistinguishable structures which rubble laid spread over what might once have been streets and open squares, ropy and withered weed growing in cracks and between stones, calcified remnants of larger vegetation sticking like stumps out of the ground, every object jagged and irregular. As they cautiously advanced, Atrey, Cleanthia and Chervin held close to the security of the shadows, senses alert.
They passed through the endless empty streets, paths that went on forever, infinitely turning into long narrow passages that curved interminably back upon countless other avenues. Nothing remained of what could have been streetlights or traffic signs or anything remotely indicating an understanding of written words. Just bare stones towering upward to the open, space less sky. Cresting th
The Riddle of the Labyrinth 45 - The UncleHer sleep had been restless and the thorns of disquiet carried into the waking hours. Weird dreams had chased each other like cursed daemons over a thorny ground while she tossed and turned, trashed and moaned, wreaking havoc with her bedding, tangling herself with sheets and duvet, perspiration turning it all clammy and uncomfortably sticky. The happenstances yesterday. The Alien, the orb and its inhabitants, the arriving group from the other Cosmoses including the Voidwalker who had helped her out of the orb, flew with her above Labyrinth. The Riddle of the Labyrinth 45 - The Uncle by cosmicwind
Not to mention the loss of her virginity on the floor of Jareth's office – their love-making had been so bizarre, so unexpected. What would this corporeal encounter, this submersion into the quicksand of animalistic aspirations mean for their further relation? Would Jareth resent her for being inept to restrain himself and her taking advantage of it like some cheap slut? Or would he expect more, desire more and eventually tie her to him forev
Battle for Christmas part 1Battle for Christmas part 1 by Finjix
It all begun on a winter day in December, the day before Christmas, in New York City around the year 4000.
Everyone, robots and humans, were preparing for Christmas; the heroic Knights of the Square Table, or in short K.S.T, were no exception.
They had been saving the world all year and were now happy Christmas had finally come with all its joy.
Christmas decorations could be seen literally everywhere and all kinds of Christmas food were being prepared for the day that would soon come. And those, like robots, who couldn’t have normal human food had their own kind of refreshments.
It was a beautiful day. Snow fell silently and only a couple of clouds were seen on the sky.
But what no one could predict were all the horrible things that were about to happen on this day before Christmas.
Despite heroes like the Knights of the Square table, evil always finds a way to come crawling back from the darkness it had been hiding in; even in times like these.
